Privacy
Updated November 4, 2026, for Amberday version 1.0.
In short
- No account, no ads, no analytics, no trackers, in the app or on the website.
- Amberday has no server. Your workouts, your health data and your plan stay on your iPhone. The publisher receives and keeps no data about you.
- Only one thing leaves your iPhone, and only if you turn on the weather: your location, sent to Apple Weather to get the forecast.
What this page covers
This policy applies to the Amberday app for iPhone, including its widget, and to the amberday.app website.
Who is responsible?
The Amberday app and website are published by AROBASE, a French company (see the legal notice).
What stays on your iPhone
Amberday stores the following only in your iPhone's storage:
- the workouts read from Health (sport, date, duration, distance, elevation gain, heart rate, power, route) and the load calculated for each one;
- if you turn it on, your resting heart rate, heart rate variability and sleep, read from Health;
- your profile (heart rates, FTP, threshold paces), your settings and your plan: sessions entered, generated or imported;
- the verdicts of past days.
This data is kept in a space shared with the Amberday widget, on your iPhone. It is not sent to the publisher, to any third party or to iCloud. Amberday writes nothing to Health.
Deleting the app erases all of this data. In demo mode, the data is fictional, and “Leave demo mode”, in settings, erases it.
Health
Access to Health goes through iOS permissions: you choose what Amberday can read, and you can change your mind at any time in Settings › Health › Data Access & Devices › Amberday. In line with Apple's rules, Health data is used only to calculate your verdict and to show you your workouts. It is never used for advertising, shared or sold.
What leaves your iPhone, and where it goes
Weather and your location
The weather is optional. If you turn it on, Amberday reads your location when it refreshes its data and sends it to Apple Weather (Apple's WeatherKit service) to get the forecast for the day of your session. Amberday doesn't keep your location or track your movements. Apple handles this request under its own privacy rules.
You can turn off the weather in Amberday's settings, or remove location access in your iPhone's settings.
Nothing else
Amberday includes no third-party tools: no analytics, no advertising, no crash reports sent to an outside service.
Calendar and files
To import a plan, Amberday reads only the calendars you choose, on your iPhone. An imported .ics or CSV file is read the same way. Nothing is sent anywhere else.
Notifications
The morning notification is prepared by your iPhone itself: no server is involved, and neither the publisher nor Apple receives its content. If you tie the notification to your alarm, the Shortcuts automation you create tells Amberday on your iPhone, without sending anything elsewhere. You can turn the notification off in Amberday's settings or your iPhone's.
When you choose another service
- Sharing: the image of your daily form goes through the service you choose (Messages, WhatsApp, Instagram…). Amberday sees nothing of this exchange.
- Download: Apple's App Store applies its own rules when you install or update the app. The publisher only receives overall statistics from Apple, such as the number of downloads, and anonymous crash reports if you have agreed to share them with developers.
The amberday.app website
The website can be read without asking you anything. It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, doesn't measure its audience and loads no content from another service (no fonts, no videos, no social media buttons). That's why no cookie banner appears.
Hosting
The amberday.app website is hosted by OVH, in France. Like any host, OVH may keep technical connection logs (IP address, date, page requested) for the security of its servers. The publisher does not use them.
Your rights
As the publisher holds no data about you, there is nothing to send you, correct or delete. If you write to contact@amberday.app, your message and your email address are used only to reply to you: they are not shared or used to send you anything else, and you can ask for them to be deleted at the same address. You can also file a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority, or with the authority in your country.
Changes
If a future version of Amberday changes what leaves your iPhone, for example to connect to another service, this page will be updated before that version is released, with a new date.
This page is a translation of the French version, which prevails in case of difference.
